Animation of the discovery images of S/2000 S 2 from the ESO 2.2m telescope. Each image in the loop sequence of 3 images is a 100-sec exposure (area shown is approximately 20 seconds of arc on a side) The images were taken about 15 minutes apart.  The satellite is moving up and to the left on this image, other "moving" targets are cosmic rays (noise) and do not move in a fashion consistent with a satellite of Saturn.
